I would have liked the strip, but there's a small problem. You've got two jokes. Joke #1 is the hamster's scarred for life, but he is "lucky" because he'll die in less then 3 years (what sort of person considers THAT lucky? No-one. Hence the joke). Joke #2 is the hamster that's laughing is about to suffer the same fate. Either joke alone would have been funny and made for a good strip. However together they over whelm the strip and cancel each other out, making neither joke funny.
