A Survey of Digital Comics Readers (Part 2 of 2)

Now up at Webcomics.com, part II of my look at comics reading software.

The first part of this series focused on digital comics readers produced by Marvel and DC, each of which had their strengths, but seemed to emphasize issues of branding and DRM over real user needs. In part II, I will be looking as several reader applications that had smaller budgets to work with, but really seem to have been designed with reader or artist concerns in mind. None of these is as high profile as Zuda or Digital Comics Unlimited, but each has its own advantages–and two even have the advantage of being available for use by any comics creator.
