From a news post on the Penny Arcade site it appears that this years Child's Play charity event will commence on November 1st and expand to a global scale.

Lulu.com has announced The Lulu Blooker Prize. It is described as the worlds first literary prize devoted to "blooks", books based on blogs and websites. The winner in each of the tree categories, fiction, non-fiction and comic, will each receive $1000 and the overall winner will get an additional $1000.

01COMICS.COM NAMES CREATIVE DIRECTOR

01Comics.Com announces that it has named A.P. Furtado as Creative Director for its web and print comic line.
"We're really excited to have A.P. join our team," said 01comics.com President Barry Gregory. "We were honored just to have a comic from him in our lineup of titles. Having him working alongside us as Creative Director is a huge coup for us."
