In a move that suprised no one and caused others to circumnavigate various heavenly bodies, the marvelous patric (www.marvelouspatric.com) announced that his amazing comic, the twisting, at graphicsmash (www.graphicsmash.com) is concluding its first act this week.
"Big cliffhanger, kids" was all he would say. Act two of the comic that everyone who is cool reads will begin on january 7th, 2004, with a recap of act one going up on the last day of 2003.

I'm looking for someone to develop and create a daily comic strip for a corporate website targeted at IT managers. Preferably a separate writer and artist (at the client's request). The comic strip should be humorous in and of itself, and will not be an advertorial for the client's product -- but at the same time, it will serve as a draw to the client's website. It's not necessary to have an understanding of the client's product in order to craft the strip (and, in fact, the last time I went through this process, it seemed that people were paying TOO MUCH attention to what the client's product was, and too little attention to simply creating a good comic strip for the target audience).

"Why anyone would be interested is beyond me," said the artist. "But just in case someone doesn't have enough bookmarks they never use, stop by and read what I have to say!"

The new webcomics-specific hosting service from Joey Manley (publisher of Modern Tales, serializer, Graphic Smash and girlamatic.com) will launch in mid to late January, 2004. Late last night/early this morning, bleary-eyed from coding, but feeling victorious and smug after finally tracking down bug number 12,038,999, Manley posted the pricing and service package levels.

According to the PA site, Howard had written to the PA boys asking (demanding?) them to crack down on PA forum-goers who were using AMD characters as avatars. Included in this letter was the statement that Howard had already "shut down six web comics that were using his art", thus potentially implying that the same could happen to the PA site, if this alleged copyright infringement was not dealt with quickly.
