Zortic hits 500 Strips!

August 11th marks the 500th appearance of Zortic at www.zortic.com. A special full panel comic is appearing to commemorate the event and mark this landmark. If you haven't caught up with Zortic yet, now is the time as the next 500 strips make their debut.
Zortic is a member of the Nice webcomic group.

Chopping Block News: New Book, New Choptopberfest and Lee Adam Herold Hits Las Vegas

To celebrate the October release of "Always Remember To Bring the Scythe", the first Chopping Block book, Lee Adam Herold be appearing at the LAS VEGAS COMIC CONVENTION from October 31 - November 2. Herold will be signing copies of his first book at the KeenSpot table, as well as appearing in a scheduled panel discussion. Herold also announced that Chopping Block will once again feature CHOPtoberfest for the month of October.
Jodoque meets the Green Knight in Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan

After a long journey into the woods to track down the legendary Green Knight, Jodoque will at last confront him in the first of a series of climactic scenes in the epic, year-long Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan storyline the Rite of Serfdom! With this confrontation, the series' overarching überstory will come full circle, for it was at the castle of the Green Knight that the Rogues originally gained their gang's fifth member, the half-elven witch Kel, eleven years ago, and it is Kel who depends on the Knight's testimony to get out of a jail in the Gnomian empire now!
BuzzComics Website to Hold Buzz Awards for Webcomics

Buzzcomics is a new website hosting forums and top 100 vote lists for webcomics. It is also launching an award for webcomics (limited, it appears to webcomics signed up with the site) to be nominated by committee (again, no details on how the committee will be selected or by whom) and than to be voted on by the creators of webcomics listed on the Buzz Top Vote list. It also will limit consideration to webcomics receiving less than 10,000 hits per day (they may have meant pages or visitors since hits generally counts all elements of webpage separately in the total) in an effort to focus the award on "smaller comics."
There is no information provided yet on dates for the awards or any stage of the process. It is possible, however, to submit a webcomic for consideration by the nominating committee now.
