A Times Online article writes that French comics (bande dessinées) did well last year.

Or should that be, "Freedom comics"?

I Like My Pixels Toasted

I'd never heard of Toasted Pixel but I clicked on their ad over at PvP today. Toasted Pixel doesn't have the most polished art but the smattering of archives I skimmed did crack me up. I especially like their election-related stuff from last year. Luckily it's not really that topical - things like "How Your Favorite Superheroes Will Vote" have more to do with the superheroes than the actual U.S. election we had last year.

Will Eisner Has Died

Will Eisner passed away on January 3rd, 2005 at the age of 87 following quadruple bypass heart surgery..

Will Eisner (wikipedia entry) was a giant in comics for over sixty years. His career spans early newspaper comics to the birth of the graphic novel.
