Submissions must be received no later than June 30, 2005.
SPX is September 23 and 24, 2005, in Bethesda, MD at the The Holiday Inn Select.
New Writings on Comic Theory

Two new essays on comic theory are posted at Emaki Productions. The first looks at the varying sizes of "visual lexical items" found in the comic medium - exploring things like the role of the panel and multi-panel patterns. The second delves into various techniques like metaphor that are used to create meaning in a series of comic strips put out recently by the Chicago Tribune.
