A press release at publisher Speakeasy Comics reveals that Athena Voltaire will leave subscription site Graphic Smash as a part of their strategy pending the launch of Athena Voltaire in print.

“We’ve enjoyed our time on the Modern Tales family of subscription comics sites,” Steve Bryant, artist and co-creator of the series, said. “But with the print version of AV arriving soon, we’d like to make all of that material available to new readers.”

In order to spread the word of the print version, Athena Voltaire will also be syndicated on a number of websites belonging to Internet retailers.

Athena Voltaire is created by Steve Bryant, Paul Daly and Chad Fidler and was nominated for a 2005 Eisner award in the category Best Digital Comic.
