Jennifer Diane Reitz, the author of Pastel Defender Heliotrope is recovering after suffering a mild heart attack.

She was told by the doctor the heart attack could've been caused by stress, and decided to try a new take on life:

"I need to just...let stuff go. The concept of being 'heartbroken' is literally true, I think. I have to let go of some stuff that happened to me, and learn to keep myself calmer, and happier, overall. If I want to live. And I do."
