If you buy your copy today, you’ll get to see me draw in your book (only $20 + shipping). If you buy an Artist Edition ($30 + shipping) , I will also stream a custom autographed PC Weenies drawing (that I create LIVE tonight!) that I will print on 8.5″ x 11″ 100 lb quality cardstock (suitable for framing) and send to you with your order.
Now, plugs aside, it’s time for our main feature!

A retro look at the old Computer Chronicles TV show, and a rather young John C. Dvorak (aka the Cranky Geek) in the hotseat. They should have called this show “Stuffy Geeks†given the formality. It looks like John’s having a blast taking apart the IBM PS/2.
I’ve used my share of PS/2 machines when I was a college student, and (putting it mildly) they were slow (even back then). I did, however, like the action on the keyboard.

I received a note from a long time reader who felt that he was enjoying the PC Weenies less as a multi-panel comic than when it was a single panel comic. It was sad to see him go, because invariably when a cartoonist loses a reader for good, it makes the artist question his own abilities.
While I enjoyed the heck out of my 8 year run as a single panel comic, it’s something I don’t want to revisit on a regular basis. Two years ago, at this time, I was getting incredibly burnt out with single panel comics. I had contemplated throwing in the towel.

60 more copies need to be sold before I sport a dapper mohawk. The deadline to order books is December 17th. I’m off to India on the 19th and the 18th is allotted for head shaving (provided readers come through with their end of the bargain, that is.)
Don’t forget the special deal for the Virtual Book Signing event this Sunday at 7PM EST!

After months of frustration with my old Plantronics headset, I have purchased a new microphone, the Snoball Blue. It’s a solidly built device, but I’ve only had one chance to test it so far. The unit was very easy to assemble, and I’m looking forward to having more opportunities to use it. (I’d love to appear on more podcasts, *hint! hint!*)

The script for today’s strip came to me quite naturally. It’s like Bob and Apchuk’s conversation took place and I was merely recording it…

I’ll be having a virtual book signing event this Sunday evening starting at 7PM EST over at JustinTV. If you order an Artist Edition of “Rebootus Maximus†between now and Sunday, in addition to the signed, numbered book, you will also receive an 8.5″ x 11″ autographed print of a custom sketch featuring your favorite PC Weenies character. The print will be on 100lb cardstock and suitable for framing, stamped with an official PC Weenies mark so you know you’re getting a unique piece of PC Weenies history. Artist Edition orders will also receive the PC Weenies / UNcubed Sampler #1 (first print), while supplies last (I believe I’m down to about 20 or so copies). Get them before they’re all gone!
