Last time we looked in on BVC's fantasy title The Spires, we met a new character. Well, it's all change this week.

Well, actually it's not. Not yet. But, as amberlove keeps reminding us over at ComicSpace, it will be soon - on Sunday, to be precise (28 October).

Well, actually it's not. Not yet. But, as amberlove keeps reminding us over at ComicSpace, it will be soon - on Sunday, to be precise (28 October). You can learn more about it at the official Wonder Woman Day website.
In brief, however, it's being organised as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in the US. Lots of original Wonder Woman themed art is up for auction with the proceeds going to help Domestic Violence shelters and Crisis Line - a cause I'm sure the warrior queen Boudicca would approve of!
In fact, I know she would. When asked to take time out from appearing in the online graphic novel Shades and to change her usual dowdy brown costume for the day, did she hesitate? She did not! See for yourself as BVC proudly presents Boo's own tribute to the Amazon princess!
Shades - temper tantrums!

Anyone who's ever had (or been anywhere near!) a two year old, will know how prone they are to throw a tantrum when they don't get what they want. Well, fortunately, there aren't any two year olds in the online graphic novel Shades. (Phew!)

There is, however, a nineteen year old and, in today's instalment at Broken Voice Comics, he proves that the urge to throw an occasional hissy-fit isn't just limited to the kindergarten brigade!

Here's a thought - what do you do if you find a young girl being attacked in a barn? Rescue her, attack her yourself or hand her over to the authorities? Well, if you're Marjena in Hunted, you do all three. But, you know ... she has her reasons!

As a general rule, I try to say something vaguely relevant to the page in question when I post these update notices for Shades (and, indeed, for the other comics at BVC). Occasionally they've even been funny. Occasionally.

But not today. Sorry. The old grey matter just isn't as sharp as usual this morning but don't worry. The latest instalment is up and looking cool. And we all know that's what you're really interested in!

New characters, eh? Nothing but trouble! Take Kolm, for example, the new character introduced in The Spires at Broken Voice Comics last week. Does she wait to settle in?
No. In today's instalment she's already picking a fight with one person and starting to make plans for the manipulation of another. Of course, the "other" being Jeste, she's not exactly averse to a little manipulation, but that's beside the point. Go see if you can sort them out, would you?
