A Legend Begins

Yes, you all asked for it, so here it is: Episode 1 of internet comic sensation, Brunel and Stovie (seemlessly woven on to the end of my previous comic here)! Stand aside, Beaton, there's a new history comic in town:

I feel like I might have written myself into a bit of a corner in this one, but I'm sure I can work it out. Internet super-stardom, here I come!

Obsessive Gaming Disorder

I was all set to draw my first episode of Brunel and Stovie this weekend, but I encountered a little stumbling block along the way - a little game called Friggin' Plants Vs Goddam Zombies. Oh god I hate this game, but it will not let me stop playing! Damn you with your cute graphics and surprising depth! I WILL KILL YOU!

An idea is born

Having consistently failed to pin myself down to a new comics project, last weekend I was taken under the nurturing wing of internet comics mogul, John Allision, who attempted to help me to thrash out an idea for a ground-breaking new strip, destined to take the internet by storm. Now behold the raw power of two minds unleashed as one:

On the creative process

I'm not quite sure what me getting kicked in the backside is a metaphor for, but I think you'll agree it is pretty profound nonetheless.

London MCM Expo this weekend!

At the last minute I have got a table at the MCM Expo in London this weekend, so if you are going along keep an eye out for me! I'll be printing some more mini comics (with 4 pages of all-new B&S material!) and I'll have some new badges to sell too - here's one of the designs :

Adoreable woodland creatures

Here's a picture that I drew for [info]nedroid  - he wanted people to draw pictures of majestic animals, but all I could find to draw was a squirrel:

MONSTER

Here's a monster which may or may not live in Monster World:

This was kind of inspired by the brilliant artwork of Israel Sanchez - although now that I look at his art it doesn't really look anything like this! I guess I just got excited looking at all those cool monsters and wanted to draw one of my own. MONSTERS.

(I am also practicing drawing backgrounds! TREES.)

Getting back on the horse

In the interests of overcoming my comics block I am going to try to force myself to post more journal comics here. I spent the beginning of this week incredibly frustrated with my own lack of ability to pin myself down to an idea, so when I wrote this comic it was such a massive relief I felt a bit like I was an addict getting my fix. Yes, I am a junkie for embarrassing stories about my own lack of hand-eye coordination.

I am 31 years old

Yesterday I went for a cycling lesson. Here are some comics I drew on the way to it and on the way back.

Graa!
