Readers Choice Awards up and coming!

I've just realized that Frumph's annual Webcomic Readers' Choice Awards (WCRCA) are around the corner!

[News]: SF Spotlight: Rune Master

This week's SpiderForest plug goes to Rune Master by Briana Higgins and Carissa Palazzo. It's a fantasy comic that updates ridiculously often (mind you, for me more than once or twice a week is mind-boggling). I have to be honest and say that fantasy comics often seem the same to me, but this one's got so much great humour and originality, that even if fantasy isn't your thing you should definitely give it a look.

[News]: SF Spotlight: Nahast

Starting this week, I'll be plugging the comics of other members of the SpiderForest comic collective. Given that SF is an exclusive and very snobbish club (har har), I can assure you that all the comics in it are top quality, and I would recommend checking them all out. This week, however, the spotlight is on Nahast: Lands of Strife by Al-X. "Epic" would be the first word that comes to mind when I think of this comic, or even just look at its website for the first time.

[News]: SpiderForest cross-promotion

My fellow SF members are plugging this comic in their news posts this week, and starting a week from now I'll be returning the favour by writing a short weekly blurb about one of their comics. It's just a little thing we're doing to help each other out. In the meantime, hope you all enjoy the new strips!

[News]: Updates resume next week!

That's right, The Artiste Manquée will resume publication next Saturday and will update weekly. Sorry for the delay, but it's harder than I thought to avoid taking summer vacations... they always seem to get me in the end. But hopefully no more long breaks for a while. Last year when I came out of my summer hiatus I was able to go non-stop until the next April, so let's hope this time I can do even better!

Here's to a new beginning and a second year of art school for Janet.

[News]: Argh, downtime!

Wow, well I just got home from my vacation and one of the first things I did when I finally got back to my computer was fix this site... Yes I'm aware that it was down for the last couple of days. It was really frustrating too, because while I was able to access the Internet and saw that it was down, I wasn't able to do anything about it, because I can only fix it from home. The reason it went down was pretty dumb too..

[News]: Summer musings

Just thought I should check in once during August, even though the site isn't being updated right now, just to let you know I haven't disappeared off the face of the Earth/abandoned my site. I'm also doing this now because it's the last chance I have to post or make any site changes until September, as I'm leaving for Ukraine in a couple of days and will be gone for over two weeks.
