Eye Problems Part 3

Just wanted to give you all a progress report.  The docs got back to me w/ the results of the MRI and they are referring me to UNC Chapel Hill, where I usually go for my medical needs.  They have a suspicion of what is causing the problems w/ my right eye, but they want UNC to check me out first.  I really don't have any other info than that except that I see the doctors at UNC this Monday.

I want to thank you for your support.  I will let you all know what happens next.

Eye Problems Part 2

I had an open MRI today and it went much better. It was still a bit claustrophobic, but I was able to deal with it much better.  Anyway, now I play the waiting game.  Thanks to everyone who has written.

Webcomic Shop Talk for May - Need Volunteers

As mentioned in another post, some of the members of the Clatch requested that we focus more on webcomics, particularly the craft of webcomics. To that end, Larry suggested that we each take turns describing the process of making our own webcomics. Our previously scheduled contestants will not be able to make it, so we need a volunteer for the May Clatch. Please be aware that the May meeting will be in Greensboro.  If you would like to be scheduled for May, please let me know either by posting to this board or emailing me at jamiecotc@gmail.com.

Free Comic Book Day and related stuff

So, as most of you know, Jamie has worked out a deal with Hero's Haven in Burlington for us to have a table at their Free Comic Book Day/Grand re-Opening festival.

And Hero's Haven has worked out a cross-promotional deal with the Burlington Public Library.

So I contacted the children's librarian and asked about donating some print editions of the NCWCCC member's work. She is thrilled, would love to see what we have, offered to make an NCWCCC display in the library and... wondered if we would be interested in doing some workshops with the kids this summer.

North Carolina WebComic Coffee Clatch Report for April 12th, 2008.

Hi all,

It was suggested at the last Clatch that we start chronicling the events of each monthly meeting. To further that end, I’m posting this little message to hit the highlights. We did have three new members at the meeting, Jesse Justice, Eric Coker and Greg Black. Maybe next time we will list everyone in attendance. Anyway, we had a lot of business to discuss so let’s go.
