This isn’t really a joke, more of a tribute.  It was published in 2008 the day of the election, giving Jon and I one more reason to cross our fingers for Obama to win.  Because if he didn’t, we’d have to publish a different strip and we had no backup prepared.  So when he did clinch the victory, it was not only a monumental day for African Americans and all of America in general, but for lazy FTR writers/artists named Jon or Joe the world over.

Y’know, there aren’t too many good “Yo Mama†jokes out there.  Hopefully the ones I picked were grade A, because it wasn’t an easy joke to write.  I thank “Scary Movie 2″ for that, they took all the best ideas.  Freakin’ jerks.

I’ve been meaning to update recently but keep forgetting. I think I’m going to use this site as my official blog here at y2cl.net. I have some updates in the art work department to show you. Starting with a little something Mike Gordon did for Halloween.
Care to see what I have been working on while not working at work? Here you are:

Déjà vu.  I drew this strip simultaneously with #43 sot it was really easy.  We originally planned on doing this strip on Halloween one year later as kind of a not to ourselves, but we got impatient.  Though, it’s cool to see these two strips back to back.  I think it’s interesting how the black and white strip has a more eerie feeling to it.  Maybe color is why this 1998 remake bombed.  Now that Vince Vaughn is sticking to comedies now, it’s weird to look back and take him seriously in these dramatic roles.
