Wizard World's Announces Austin Comic Con

Have you heard the news? Wizard World has announced their new Austin Comic Con. It'll be from Friday, November 12, through Sunday, November 14, 2010, in the Austin Convention Center. Of course, the best part is that I currently live in Austin, Texas—expect to see me there all three days!

Back from Comic-Con

What a great time at Comic-Con! Well, except for getting sick at the end. I was in bed all day yesterday and didn't finish the latest Local Heroes strip. I'm still very sick, so it looks like we'll just be skipping the strip for this week. In the meantime, hopefully my snapshots from the event will satisfy your need for an update. Meet me at Comic-Con!

Once again, I'll be going to San Diego Comic-Con from July 23 – 26. But, not just going—I'll have a table in Artists' Alley! Come meet me at table JJ-17 and, if you're lucky, you'll also meet my Part-Time Comics podcast co-host, Anthony Rezendes.

2009 Resolutions

For the fourth year in a row, I present my annual resolution list. As with previous years, we'll first assess how last year's resolutions held up.

Hurm News: Working on Star Wars: The Old Republic

It's my third day as a contract designer at BioWare, and I'm loving it! I'm working on the recently-announced Star Wars: The Old Republic massively-multiplayer online game. I'm still learning about things, but today promises to be very productive.

Local Heroes: Local Heroes #1 Now at Dragon's Lair

For those of you living in (or passing through) Austin, Texas, you may be interested to know that Local Heroes #1 is now available in the Austin branch of local comic shop Dragon's Lair. They started carrying it a few weeks ago and are selling it for $3.00 each. Recently, we even swapped out the unsigned versions for copies signed by both creators—myself (Keith Quinn) and Gil Dowling.

Local Heroes: Another storyline in the can!
