Filthy Lies

One of my favorite webcomics is having a readership drive, so it seems like a good time to give webcomic reviewing a try!

Filthy Lies has been a longstanding favorite of mine. Despite occasionally becoming overly political, I have found it to be consistently funny, and I've read through the entire archive several times now. The dynamic relationship between the main characters, Damien and Joel, pushes the stereotype of the polarly opposite roommates to an hysterical level. While anti-republican and anti-religion opinions are often expressed, fairly good points are made without the reader becoming bored.

Intro to my Blog

Well, I've finally caved in and started a blog. I don't really care if anyone reads what I say here, but, hey, if you want to read this, go wild. I doubt I'll update this often.

So, a little about me. My name is Ben Wright-Heuman, and I'm a junior at Kenyon College. I developed a love of webcomics about a year ago, and have since begun to read as many of them as I could. Cartooning has been a casual hobby of mine for a long time, since I started taking classes from Kirk O'Brien, an amazing teacher at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. Look him up, he'll teach you up real good.
