Guy Clark - Desperados Waiting For A Train

In honor of Manning and Leonard. Oh, and the pope...

Worked last week on a new Gelato and Crepe bar that had it's grand opening this weekend.

The Rome mural is about 15-20 feet long I believe, you can see the image above full-sized by clicking here

Steve Earle- Fort Worth Blues

happy monday!

You may find this trite, or sugary or whatever, but It's stuck with me and it's sentiment I agree with.

I heard someone on the radio the other day say something to the effect of:

We're so addicted to our constant level of noise and our incessant need to be doing something, or involved in some kind of activity. we don't remember how to just sit and be quiet. It's like we're human "doings", who forgot how to be human "beings"

some notes about art teachers

My wife told me about an old teacher of ours having a solo show at our college gallery.

it should be stated Blackbyrd2 brought the schooling thing to my attention first...

So I get in the car to go pick up a daughter from softball practice and first thing on the local NPR station, is Warren Olney piping up with:

Murals and Home Schooling: are they Endangered Species?

I mean Fuck, California.... Murals and homeschooling? That's kinda like, what I do....

Wild things shelf

I had a good time working on this bookshelf with a "Wild Things" theme:

There's more to it, but I'll have to wait till i get better pics...

Outbound train

It's only a demo. It needs some arranging and some extra instruments, and I kinda crash at the end. I need to not sound as sick as i am now (actually maybe the sick makes me sound better...)
But laying in bed for four days makes you itchy to do somethin and I was almost done with this before I came down with the black death. If the doctor can't help me today, then this'll be the last thing I do, and god bless it. Maybe Grandmas right, I never shoulda held my nose when I sneezed. Dear God my ear drums hurt.

it's not like Klimt was any stranger to good fonts...

Finally got to see Klimt tonight. I've been waiting to see this movie since I first heard it was being filmed. I ogled over the stills of Klaus Kinski as Schiele, and thought Malkovich was a good man for the job. I waited patiently while it wen't round Europe and while it waited for a US distributor... I waited and dreamed that it was gonna be really good.
