Shepherd's blog

I’m testing Scribefire!

This could make a considerable difference in my blogging frequency and propagation. Apropos of nothing, here is a picture of Frank Sobotka.

I think I broke the blog.

I was trying to update to the latest version of WP yesterday and something went awry.

Ghandeinstein!

I was hoping that in the finest traditions of the Internet, somebody would have already penned the adventures of Ghandeinstein, a man-monster stitched together from parts from the world’s greatest humanitarian and the world’s greatest genius, but no such luck.
It therefore falls to me.
O, Ghandeinstein!

That’s actually Doctor Villain, not Doctor Vivisectus.

If you could just… mentally edit out Vivisectus and put the mask-faced guy in there instead, this will all make a lot more sense.

Dark Knight and X-Files: I Want To Believe [spoilertastic!]

Short and sweet (and spoilery):
Dark Knight
Awesome, with all the grim fandango and completely unfathomable fight choreography of the first one, ratched up to 11. One has to wonder, however, how Harvey Dent managed to get a perfectly tailored half-normal half-garbage Two-Face suit all sewn up within 15 minutes of leaving the hospital. [...]

A BIG slab of MINE!

MONDAY JULY 21st!
Just asking people to check out on of my bigger strips over at WWW.KAESYE.COM.
It’s 8 strips long, and as a special, I posted them all at once.
Check it out!

Musicals are notoriously hard to do in cartoon format, by the way.
But if you know of anyone who’d be willing to give it [...]

Strip #1300

Yup… it’s another landmark in the world on Man-Man, and I didn’t want to miss marking it with something a little cooler than the usual strip, so I tried something I haven’t done in a long time… an animated strip. (Though not much is really animated, but it’s a start.)
So tonight when you go out, [...]

Everybody’s in Refrigerators

The one who inherits a hill must climb it.
African proverb
Jennifer de Guzman laments the sad state of women in comics (in comics as characters within comics, not women in the comic industry, although I’d bet that the latter is also a sad state, and the two facts are not unconnected) in her [...]

Please reply before next Tuesday.

Help me out here:
It is, theoretically speaking, Monday, July 1.
I tell you that, as part of our regional Ferret Devouring Days festival (celebrating the noble efforts of the pioneers to both rid our land of ferrets and maximize local foodstuffs), I am going to eat a ferret on television next Thursday, and I want [...]
