G.A.A.K's "War of the Worlds" world tour finale!!!

After 6 years, a print fiasco (SMASH! Comics), an ill-fated subscription site start up (Creature Feature Comics), and various adventures in webcomics, the 50's style scifi, monsters-run-amok, alien invasion adventure G.A.A.K: Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures by writer/creator Darryl Hughes and artist Monique MacNaughton starts the final leg of it's "War of the Worlds" world tour with the first of the final 10 installments: "STOP THE INVASION, I WANNA GET ON!!!"

Starting today at G.A.A.K: Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures Online! To his horror, Sam finds out that sometimes spunky just isn't enough as Gakk unleashes his inner alien kreature--"Attack Gakk"! And Gran'ma what big teeth he's got! Will the cavalry arrive in time to save the day? Or at least save Sam? You just wait and see.

The 2007 Glyph Awards recognizing black comic creators achievements in the various aspects of comic/webcomic medium from writing and artwork, to cover design, and character developement have just been announced.
Notable webcomic creators getting recognized for their work are Darryl Hughes and Monique MacNaughton (nominees "Rising Star" category) for G.A.A.K: Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures and Spike (nominee "Best comic strip" category) for Templar, Arizona.

I remember telling Webcomics Nation founder Joey Manley that I thought that, above and beyond the hosting, RSS feeds, etc, that WCN offered, the single best feature was tooncasting. Which I guess is just Joey's fancy-assed term for syndication.

Starting today at GAAK Remember the good old days when invading aliens from outer space didn't knock, and the ringing of a doorbell only brought with it the man made horror of Jehovah's Witnesses? My how times have changed. When Kristen and little brother Sam answer the ringing at their front door they find some "thing" waiting for them that's out of this world.
