DREAMNASIUM CRACKS 10k!

So, after roughly four months, DREAMNASIUM is still up and running and has cracked the 10000 hits mark. It's hosted at WEBCOMICS NATION as well as DRUNK DUCK and seems to have garnered a few fans. I'm both pleased and humbled by this as the whole thing is just an experiment for me to see if I could actually do it.

If you haven't taken a look yet, please do. Things are heating up in the second story arc and the first one is complete and archived. This is, i guess, PG-13 material so read and share accordingly.

Here's a sample.

Happy New Year!

Mea Culpa

Well, what can i say? The holidays are kicking my schedule to hell. I have also had the pleasure of seeing my novel, SWORD OF DAMOCLES, released and very well received by critics. Acclaim, actually. Pretty weird. Brain is a bit fried to be honest.

Anyway, if you haven't read any of the DREAMNASIUM stories, now is a perfect time to jump on. I will resume putting up pages soon on PENCIL TEST, the second story. HOOKEY is obviously complete.

So happy hols, ye that celebrate and thanks for your patience. We, which in this case means I, will be back very soon.

She is finished!

Well, it's done.

The first issue of Geoffrey Thorne's Dreamnasium is finished and posted for your viewing pleasure.

This first story was a bit of a test for me, to see if I could actually do it. Turns out I can.

So I'm going to keep at it.

The first story was totally wordless so that anyone could follow along. The next story, PENCIL TEST, is more traditional so, if you don't speak English, find a buddy and read together.

(although, if you don't speak English, you won't understand this post so, I guess, feel free to ignore it).

Home Stretch

So we're nearing the end of the first issue of Geoffrey Thorne's DREAMNASIUM and, so far, i have to say I'm pretty damned stoked by WEB COMICS NATION.

I'm getting what I think is a respectable number of hits per day with a slow but steady increase in "readers" (the first story has no dialogue).

I see absolutely no reason not to continue with this so, once issue one is finished and archived, and after a short break, Issue Two will begin on November first.

2000

I need somebody to tell me the stats. I just cracked 2000 hits but I don't know if I should be happy or depressed.

The book has been going for 12 days now. I have no idea what the hell is going on.

What is up with Thursday?

I haven't done much in the way of advertising. I haven't really jacked up my hit count but there's something about Thursdays.

Normally, at this time of day, my count is hovering around 30 or 40 unique hits. TODAY it's pushing 70.

Is it Thursday or am i in love?

Numbers Redux

Sorry.

posted accidently.

here is the corrected text.

So I'm about 8 days into the first issue of DREAMNASIUM and I've got no idea how well I'm doing. I'm getting an average of about 200 hits a day but some of the Big Guys are getting tens of thousands.

I had thought there would be some rhyme or reason to which books are killing, where genre or style or artistic skill but there doesn't seem to be. Some books that are AMAZING get little or no support (not ME. OTHER books) while some books that are, well, sup par in my opinion, get stacks of people coming in.

There's no uniformity of style or approach either so what is it?

Hello World

Hello, World.

Geoff Thorne here. I'm the creator of DREAMNASIUM and, after careful deliberation (and one false start) I've decided to try my hand along with the other gladiators.

I hope you guys will give my book a chance. It's not preachy or controversial but I think it's fun.

And, as we all know, fun is the best thing to have.
