Catnose Comics Updates 9/15

I was pretty thrilled with myself.  I redrew three more pages of the first 24 of Rasputin Barxotka that desperately need it.  I can't wait until that's done.  Mandarr and Paul are getting the week off.  They totally earned it.  :D

Pear-Pear Site Design Changes

In anticipation of the 100th comic, I spent some time this week on the Pear-Pear site, with two goals: creating a functioning archive page in keeping with the site's aesthetic; and a slight redesign of the feedback page. I also explored the possibility of finally creating an online store, but that may have to wait...not yet financially viable.

Pear-Pear 99...and the impending 100th

So, the 99th cartoon is up, and I'm running out of time to figure out what the benchmark of 100 cartoons will mean. I have a couple ideas, but most of them just revolve around getting the comic's website up to its full, promised potential.

Like, you know--actually having a functioning archive page, or anything for sale on the store page. It'd be about time! The comic's in its 4th year.

Another idea that Erin and I have been kicking around is to put out a book. That wouldn't be ready by the time I put out the 100th comic (hopefully soon), but it's definitely something I want to pursue in the near future.

New Pear-Pear is up...and I get a new workspace

Pear-Pear is probably considered dead by most of the people who used to follow it, but I am determined to at least resolve the current arc. Even if I am only updating twice a year at this point.

Of course, I don't want to be updating that infrequently. So, I'm hoping that my new project, which motivated my wife and I to reorganize part of the bedroom into a workspace for graphic art, can throw off a little extra energy in the Pear-Pear direction.

The theory is, now that I have a space, desk, a drafting table, and a computer devoted to cartooning/graphic art, Pear-Pear comics are all that much more likely to happen.
