Call For Admins For Comixpedia (webcomic wiki)

For those of you who've helped out in the past or can help out now with the many things that a healthy wiki site requires get in touch with me now so I can promote you to admin.

Primarily we need some immediate help with de-spammifying pages and you helping us with that now basically will demonstrate your honest support for the project (sort of a leapfrog into admin status) but we also need a refresh of people interested in jumpstarting missing entries (people and webcomics that really should have a page), improving and editing stub pages or just poorly written ones; and helping to moderate meta-discussion about the site (policy questions about how to do things on the site come up all too frequently as people ask about or just do new things on thesite).

It would also be great to reach out to people working on webcomics on Wikipedia to see if any of them are interested in helping out at Comixpedia.  Comixpedia in one sense is where all comic entries should start as entries at Wikipedia do much better if they're fully developed before posting them.  One can do that without fear of deletion at Comixpedia and port it to Wikipedia after it's had time for completion and full citation.  In that sense working on Comixpedia is a way to ultimately improve the representation of (web)comics on Wikipedia.

Other ideas and suggestions on encouraging more admin-level participation are welcome - post away!

P.S.  If you've created an entry on a comic or creator it would be a good idea to review it now and then at Comixpedia both to check for spam and vandalism but also to update and improve it as time goes on. Remember Comixpedia does not have a rule against creators creating pages for themselves or their webcomics (which would be problematic at Wikipedia) - although creators do have to remember that even though they may contribute to pages about themselves and their work they don't exclusively "own" them.
