I am currently working on a graphic novel The Fat Man - it is a surreal journey set in a gritty realistic world where fantasy takes over in a magical reality - always with a sense of quiet humour and its tongue firmly in its cheek.

350 pages full colour - due for release in 2008 -  There is a 50 page preview available at www.the-fat-man.co.uk

The story is simple but with paradoxical convolutions involving the silent film star Louise Brooks, various time periods via a cheese powered time machine; Cheese. It involves a rogue M.I.5. agent caught up with a group of disillusioned Germans criminals from 1942 who have perfected a Nazi secret weapon but don't want to use it to help Hitler.

Great drawings, terrible lettering, kind of garish coloring. There's not enough sample pages to give you any better feedback than that.

Oh, except that in the drawing with Hitler; the two don't look like they're looking each other in the eye. Hitler's looking at his cheek, and the other dude is looking at Hitler's eyelid.

Toss up your first chapter online, guy!

Multiplex is a twice weekly humor comic about the staff of the Multiplex 10 Cinemas and the movies that play there.

Gordon - Thanks for the feedback.

I don't agree with most of it.

Did you look at the preview?

The first 3 chapters are available as a download from the site - www.the-fat-man.co.uk (I did say that in the original post)

Some of the feedback from the preview.

"The Fat Man certainly has my recommendation, and you can quote me on that." Rick Norwood, www.sfsite.com

"A very strange, but interesting, comic... possibly one of the strangest time travel related stories around." Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou www.indiereview.co.uk
"I predict that The Fat Man will be a big success." Paul Rainey www.pbrainey.com

"Thomas Cochrane Associates can be added to that small number of quality book publishers based in the UK. The art is very pop arty and it grows on you. Time-hopping Nazi, shoot-outs, explosions, intrigue, Hitler and, oh, yes, cosmic cheese. Can you fail? So, why not buy The Fat Man – it’ll be out in time to make a great Christmas 2008 present!" Terry Hooper www.comicbitsonline.com
