Hi, I hope that I am posting in the right spot but I am starting up a new online comic book contest website, where users and fans can sign up and submit material in an ongoing storyline, the community will vote and the winner goes on to continue in that appicable storyline. Its a unique comic book contest in that its all a big team effort and everyone who wins gets prize money, contracts, and ad revenue. The claim that the competition is free is a bit dubious considering the terms.
From the site's own terms:
2. By entering you artwork in any of comicracy pre-existing ongoing storyline contests featured in the comics section of this website, user agrees to grant Comicracy the SOLE right to publish the submitted material, if chosen as the winner, within the applicable storyline as a whole in any medium. User is also giving comicracy the right to attain any high quality copy of the original artwork, high quality being as determined by comicracy. User is giving comicracy full rights to publish, print, copy, sell their submission as a solo piece of artwork.
That all sounds like charity work to me... you do the work, they get the benefit, and most of the rights.
Do yourself a favour and host your work on one of the many sites that let you keep your rights as a creator.

OK, obviously you havent read the terms IN FULL or you just dont have the intelligence to comprehend them. The user gets 90 percent of the rights or profit that is made from the storyline if it goes into publication as a whole storyline. Other then that its the users work, they have 100 percent of the right to do whatever the want with it their material as a solo piece of artwork.
