Erin Lindsey maintains one of the most popular sites on Keenspace with Venus Envy, the continuing escapades and tribulations of Zoe, a transgendered teenager....and through it, explores not just issues of gender, but issues of being human. She was kind enough to grant Comixpedia an interview.
Jeph Jacques is the author of Questionable Content – a Web comic about a frustrated music nerd named Marten, his walking-and-talking PC named Pintsize, and his mysterious roommate Faye. It’s about finding a purpose in life, indie rock, and drinking with friends.
Jeph, 24, is originally from the town of Rockville, Maryland. After graduating from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in music, Jeph has settled in Northampton, Massachusetts with his girlfriend.
Four years ago, however, David M. Willis helped thin out school-based comic strips when he ended his three-year run of the popular, well-loved Roomies! – a Web comic about two best friends who discover that college life is nothing like what they imagined. But instead of starting from scratch and giving the Web comic-loving community fresh new characters in a totally different atmosphere, Willis started up a Roomies! sequel called It's Walky!
Professional cartoonist Dave Kelly may have a twisted sense of humor and a wacky animation style. He may be weird or even a genius. But maybe he's just a shy, private guy with a great sense of creativity. Any opinion may just suffice, depending on the particular side this 22-year-old decides to show.
"I like that people have a solid opinion of me, if it's good or bad or weird," Kelly says. "I don't want to be plain, normal and boring."
Plain, normal and boring may never describe this comic mastermind from West Philadelphia. Kelly is the author and artist of many Web comics, including the completed work (and probably his most renowned) Living In Greytown, a bizarre comic about a town with no exits and the many living beings that are stuck there.
