PC Weenies turns 9!

The PC Weenies turns 9 years old today (Oct 21st, 2007). It's been a long, strange trip for this single panel webcomic - and I'd like to thank readers for stopping by and supporting the comic over the years.

Look for a sketch auction this week, to raise proceeds for Brad Ashworth, who's recently battled Hodgkin's Lymphoma and lived to tell the tale.

iWebcomic: Talking with PC Weenies Creator Krishna Sadasivam

Krishna Sadasivam is the creator of the long-running tech-focused humor comic, PC Weenies. Sadasivam has been publishing his comic to the web for almost nine years and I caught up with him recently via email to talk about PC Weenies and his new comic Uncubed.

Lazy Summer Bloggin'

Hey all I'm bloggin a bit today - mostly to say thanks to Logan DeAngelis for guest-blogging this week, but also to all of our guest bloggers so far. I also wanted to thank Krishna M. Sadasivam, creator of PC Weenies for doing this month's super cover art. (Be sure to check out the posters from his webcomic that he's selling!) Next week's scheduled guest blogger is Corey Marie, creator of the webcomic Scene Language and part of the Young American Comics group.

Also I've been loopy most of the week due to getting my wisdom teeth extracted (drilled and yanked is probably more accurate) on Wednesday morning. So I missed promoting tons of cool reader blog posts this week including: this bit about the webcomic Asylumantics getting a reboot - I've read Chris' comics off and on for years now so I'm excited for him to take everything he's learned and try to take his work to another level.

Multiplex creator Gordin McAlpin got interviewed in BOXOFFICE magazine which is pretty great press for a webcomic about a movie theater.

And I'm always a sucker for new webcomic website codin' - here's a simple archive script from Fabricari creator Steve Harrison.

And of course lots more interesting blogs here as well as elsewhere. I missed Comicon this year but I saw FLEEN did a great job of covering the webcomic side of that immense event.

PC Weenies Posters for Sale!

The first-ever PC Weenies poster prototype arrived at the Sadasivam household this afternoon. And, as a proud papa, I must say that it looks freakin' AWESOME!

Updates On Entries in the Ill-Fated Webcomic Directory Project?

I built a "library" of webcomics and creators back in the fall of 2005 which I put into beta before realizing it was too much editorial work to deal with and the same information could be better provided through the community edited webcomic wiki - COMIXPEDIA.

Nevertheless looking back on the assortment of names collected (some from me, some sent in from you) I wonder if anyone has any significant updates on these creators 18 months later. Maybe we should interview some of them?
