Book Progress: Almost Done!
Submitted by bobweiner on June 12, 2009 - 06:02
Behind the scenes, I’ve been finalizing a lot of details with regards to printing the PC Weenies trade paperback. I’ve picked a printer, purchased an ISBN number, and spent the better part of yesterday and this morning proofing and tweaking the book to make it the best it can possibly be.
I’m really excited about how it’s looking so far. If all goes according to plan, I’ll have the book sent off to the printer this weekend. After I receive the prototype book from the printer (and even more proofing), I’ll start taking pre-orders.
And speaking of which, here’s a sneak peek at the final cover for the first PC Weenies book: Rebootus Maximus !

I posted this over on UNcubed (new strip on Wednesday), but just in case you may have missed it:
The prototype copy of the forthcoming PC Weenies / UNcubed sampler #1 arrived yesterday afternoon from Ka-Blam. I’ve taken some photos of the comic for you to see.
The Book Front and more…

Things have been a little quiet on the blog, but in truth - there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff going on. First off, I’ve amassed all the pages for the PC Weenies trade. It’s clocking in at a whopping 120 pages, and right now I’m shopping around for a good offset printer company.
Cleaning Up

It was spring cleaning time here at the Sadasivam household. This was inspired, in part, due to my daughter’s recent adventures. I tend to clean things around the house when I get upset (or when I am procrastinating). Fortunately, my studio needed cleaning. Here are some pics:
Guest-Strip: Tauhid Bondia
Submitted by bobweiner on May 21, 2009 - 00:00
Today’s guest-strip was written and drawn by my good friend Tauhid Bondia. I’ve been a fan of Tauhid’s work since his “Spells & Whistles†days years ago - and his recent return to webcomics via Good Ship Chronicles shows that he’s back on the scene with a vengeance.
Guest-Strip: Rasmus Pettersson

I’m extremely pleased and honored to share today’s guest-strip with you, which comes by way of the mind-blowing talent that is the ever-unstoppable Rasmus Pettersson.
Book behind-the-scenes update
Submitted by bobweiner on May 7, 2009 - 18:30
PC Weenies and UNcubed are on target to make their print debut in the next few months. I’m working on a 120 page trade paperback for PC Weenies, and a 24 page PC Weenies / UNcubed sampler comic. The sampler comic will serve as a perfect introduction to someone who’s new to both strips. The trade paperback version of PCW will include additional goodies and behind-the-scenes stuff. The format of the book will include both covers in a flip-book format. You simply flip the comic over when you’re finished reading PCW to read UNcubed.
The sampler and trade paperback will both be available for sale on August 22 & 23rd at the MiniMegaCon convention in Orlando, FL. I’m still working out pricing details for the trade, but the floppy comic will run $5.00 + shipping (US and International). Update: The floppy comics and PCW Trade paperback will be available for sale on my website as well. Pre-orders will open in mid-June for signed copies for both editions.
Anyway, I wanted to give you guys a peek at the covers for the floppy comic version (click read more):

Breaking Ground
Submitted by bobweiner on April 17, 2009 - 17:05
Work on building the first PC Weenies book has begun in earnest. Thus far, I’ve been hammering out the details for the format, dimensions and size of the book. The format and dimensions have been nailed down, by and large.
Switching Gears

If you’re following me on Twitter, you probably know that I’ve decided to change the publication schedule of PC Weenies.
Effective next week, and from here on out, I’m publishing the comic every Tuesday and Thursday, instead of M-W-F. There’s a few reasons for this change. In a nutshell:
