The first ever NCWCCC anthology is virtually complete. I am still waiting on two bios, and you know who you are, and I'm waiting for Shannon Wheeler's introduction. He has the book in PDF form now and hopefully we will get something from him in a week or so.
The Stumptown Comics Fest will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29 - 30, from 10 AM - 6 PM, at the Lloyd Center Doubletree in Portland, Oregon. Admission is $5 at the door.
Special guests include Matt Wagner, Carol Lay, Peter Bagge, Shaenon Garrity, Mike & Laura Allred, Sarah Oleksyk, and Ted Rall. More details at the website: stumptowncomics.com.

Improbable Marriage of Classical Music and Comic Book Characters Gives Birth to Caffeinated Opera!
This September 29th at 3pm at Stumptown Comic Fest in Portland Ore Shannon Wheeler announces and discusses the sequel to the first opera based on a comic book; Too Much Coffee Man Opera. Stacey Murdock and accompanist Joey Prather will perform snippets from the opera, Shannon will give a brief talk and answer questions from the audience.

I built a "library" of webcomics and creators back in the fall of 2005 which I put into beta before realizing it was too much editorial work to deal with and the same information could be better provided through the community edited webcomic wiki - COMIXPEDIA.
Nevertheless looking back on the assortment of names collected (some from me, some sent in from you) I wonder if anyone has any significant updates on these creators 18 months later. Maybe we should interview some of them?

The cool folks over at Nightgig Studios are including part one of our three part drive-by on webcomics at the Alternative Press Expo in the Gigcast this week.
Details for this year's APE convention are here. Special guests include Hope Larson and Gene Yang. The dynamic duo of Shaenon Garrity and Andrew Farago will be moderating panels, including the interesting sounding "Socially Relevant Comics" panel.
