Shades - soaring like an Eagle?

Go vote at the Eagles!

The Eagle Awards are "the comics industry's longest established awards" (their words!) and, what's more, they have two categories for webcomics. Hooray!

Like one or two other webcomics, this year Broken Voice Comics has decided to enter itself in the Favourite Comics Related Website category and its flagship title Shades in the Favourite Web-Based Comics category.

Unfortunately, the way the voting works is that the panel of judges will only look at the five comics that receive the most nominations in each category. This means that, since we're still building our audience and don't have the thousands of fans that some other webcomics have, we really do need every single fan of Shades to vote ... and that's just to get the panel even to look at us! Which is where you come in!

Vote for Shades! Vote for Shades! Vote for Shades!

If you don't like Shades or anything else at the Broken Voice Comics website, don't vote for us. (We're not trying to do anything sneaky here!) But, if you do, then please vote. And, if you haven't read Shades yet, now would be a really good time to try it out! Read it, make up your own mind and, if you like it, please do take a couple of minutes to get yourself over to the Eagle Awards and vote for us.

All you have to do is click on the Eagle Awards logo or any of the characters from Shades in this blog post and fill in the form. You don't have to enter something in every category; just complete the personal information it asks for and scroll down to the two categories we've entered. The Favourite Comics Related Website and the Favourite Web-Based Comics categories are both near the bottom!

Vote for Shades! Vote for Shades! Vote for Shades!

Many, many thanks in advance to every one of you who takes the time to nominate us. We really do appreciate it and - if you do get us into that top five - we'll try to do something very special for you by way of celebration!
