The War at Ellsmere in Previews

Coupla notes: There's a gigantic ad for The War at Ellsmere in this month's Previews magazine (October, obviously), on pages 203 and 204. Seriously, it is so gigantic it scared me. I think it's even a "featured item" in the graphic novel section, but I'm not really sure what that means ... still, it's very nifty. Too bad I wasn't able to get the final cover ready in time. O WELL. Anyway, please please pretty please ask your local comic shop to order it in. My lovely editor Jennifer and I are trying our best to get it out by December 3, so hopefully that's when you'll have it. And it'll definitely be longer than 144 pages. Uh, yeah.
It's fun being in Previews. It's like being in a pervy Sears Wishbook.
I am both more stressed and less stressed about this book coming out. Does that make sense? More stressed in that it doesn't have the instant cache Zombies Calling had (you put "zombies" in a title, you instantly attract a certain readership), and I worry that it won't be able to find its way into the right hands, but less stressed in that ... I don't know, I guess last year (and this year, a bit) proved pretty well that there are quite a few people out there who like my work and want to support it, which was really really great, so I'm very encouraged by that and hoping this time will be the same good experience. Yay readers and lovely people who own comic stores! You guys are so awesome.
In other news, my LJ subscription ran out. Does anyone want me to sketch them anything, in exchange for a subscription for this LJ? Email me if you're interested (faitherin AT yahoo.com).
