What Stories Should Comixpedia Work On?
Submitted by Xaviar Xerexes on October 27, 2006 - 11:39
What stories are you interested in Comixpedia writing about in the upcoming months? I'm not asking here for comics to review or people to interview, but subjects that we could focus on writing about in-depth. What do you want to read about?
WEBCOMICS IDOL - A Bomb Shelter Comics Contest!
Submitted by Sean C on October 25, 2006 - 16:32
Bomb Shelter Comics is proud to announce our biggest contest to date - Webcomics Idol. We're taking open submissions now, and after we go through them, we'll narrow the field down to ten finalists. After that, the fun really begins!
The finalists must produce a weekly update to be judged by our esteemed guest judges, who include:
- Tim Demeter - Graphic Smash
- Daku - Digital Strips
- DJ Coffman - Yirmumah, Hero by Night
- A BSC member or two
Each week, the judges will review and critique the finalists based on their updates, and then the public will vote on their favorite. Each week, the comic with the lowest number of votes gets eliminated.

Cain is Able Launches at Bomb Shelter Comics
Submitted by Sean C on October 23, 2006 - 13:45
So, after a brief time away from comicking, I have gotten back into the swing of things. Today, Cain is Able, my new project, launched over at Bomb Shelter Comics. Besides being a new, solo project, it also has the distinction of being the first comic hosted at BSC.
Since the first strip won't tell you too much, allow me to share the premise -
Tate Cain, a rising star at CNN, suddenly leaves for the new All News Station, yet another 24 hour news network run by his friend and former mentor, John Cochrane. He enters a world of bizarre news stories, an eclectic cast of up and coming broadcasters, and plenty of real-world events will be lampooned, along with news you won't find on the networks.

It's been one year since the founding of Blank Label Comics.
New Peter Bagge webcomic on the "war on drugs" at Reason magazine. Cranky middle-age libertarian goodness!

Fleen checks into Owen Dunne's My New Mommy webcomic. It's ending. And Fleen thinks Dunne's website navigation is confusing. Most of what Dunne has done is pretty hilarious IMO.

Cartridge Comics
Submitted by Chris Jeffery on May 15, 2006 - 23:41
Hi everyone, I'm Chris Jeffery, artist for Cartridge Comics, which has been running for what's getting close to a year now and is (in my opinion) doing quite well. Thought I'd drop by and say hello. I'm part of the Bomb Shelter Comics collective as well, which boasts the likes of Combustable Orange, Divine Dramedy, and Leftville, so I'm pretty proud of it.
