I'm putting together a dissertation and was wondering if anyone could help with this question:

 

If you could have a piece of art software designed for you what features or tools would you want it to have?

 

This could be any tool or feature you can imagine.

My wishlist for software

OK, if you want to know what an artist wants from his software:

  • It must be entirely bug free; never crashing... not once regardless of which operating sysem it is on or what dumb thing the artist is trying to do with it.
  • It should be able to automatically draw updates to any webcomic, adhering to the house style and to the update schedule, thereby negating the need for the artist.
  • It should be absolutely free as we're all broke and now unwilling to do sexual favours for software.

I'm sorry, I know I'm being flippant, but really I don't see the need for yet more software. Get your pens out (NOT a typo) and turn off these souless machines.

I mean are you going to do what Photoshop or Illustrator does or are you thinking of something completely different? What do you mean by "art software"?
