A "Belch"

I am Jonathan M. Sweet, the author and artist of THE BELCH DIMSENSION COMICS. It's a kicky underground series about a team of teen crimefighters who live in a small town in the South. Recently we released our silver anniversary issue (May 2007), featuring the three-issue story arc "SweetTart". Kathryn "Kitty" Tartakoff is a cartoonist for her campus paper, the Harbinger. When some fellow coworkers suffer strange "accidents", she stumbles upon a massive conspiracy by the faculty advisor and her minion the copy editor to take over the school. Donning an eccentric homebrew costume, she becomes a teen champion of justice. Kitty was modeled after Kathryn White, the artist behind "Mosquito Creek" and "Blue Canary", whom I worked with at the Arkansas State University Herald in 1996 and '97. A number of the Harbinger staffers were modeled after fellow Herald staffers. The series is distributed exclusively online for a dollar an issue (longer special issues slightly higher) at my website.
