Last night, I typed up a brilliantly written biography/ art resume for the thing because there's not really a heck of a lot else to do with it except add more "friends" to my need for validation.
BUT~
The cookies didn't last long enough and I got booted off when I tried to upload it. I tried to backtrack, and I just got the login page.
LOST FOREVER (until I get up the motivation to do it again). Including the pull quotes I hunted an hour for.
I've been having fun discovering a lot of great stuff I'd never seen before, and taking the opportunity to tell all those people who's work I admire just how much I admire it. Beyond that I'm not sure what else to do with it... it's not like I want to start dating cartoonists...
I've been having fun discovering a lot of great stuff I'd never seen before ...
Me too. Just started trawling today but I'm unearthing a whole bundle of good webcomics that you normally never hear about. I'm looking forward to working back through the archives of quite a few.
Josh posted on the front page that he was working on a forum, among other things, for Comicspace.
I suppose for now, all we can do is have a contest to see who can get the most friends - bonus points if they'll actually communicate with you in the future!
So far I'm having fun checking the member list every few hours. It's ginormous and still growing rapidly. I like to see how often someone I know/have heard of pops up.
The cam runs on Web 3.0 tech that this era's feeble browsers can not begin to comprehend.
Also- I wish the system let you pick your top friends like MySpace Prime so I can shuv links to my bestest friends stuff to the waiting eyes of the internet and probably hurt others feelings in the process.
you can never beat Eric, he has 570 friends after just one day - wtf!
Dammit, Gianna, I was really hoping you'd be my 571st comicspace friend. I guess I'll settle for Xerexes if I have to. I'll still be everybody's bestest meatspace friend forever, however.
I, too, am a chronic myspace hater, but I'm still doing this one. Doesn't seem to be too bad yet. But don't get me wrong, when profiles start blasting me with unwanted video and audio, or when it becomes the battle ground for preteen arguments (well, moreso than the rest of the internet already is), then I'll be gone.
Well I don't think I'll put in enough time to win the friends derby. I'm not on myspace but this to me looks more like myspace filtered thru Onlinecomics.net then just a myspace clone.

You looked lonely and without fake internet friends.
So I decided to become your fake internet friend, John . I hope you will become my fake internet friend as well.

I would, if I had joined that thing - but I hate Myspace so much that I can't bring myself to join anything that looks remotely like it.
Anyway - post or not - you can never beat Eric, he has 570 friends after just one day - wtf!
