Webcomic Spotlight: Piled Higher and Deeper

I only stumbled onto Jorge Cham's Piled Higher and Deeper about a month and a half ago, but I've been hooked. In a nutshell, you have a comic about the absurdities of grad school shown through several characters, the unnamed hero, Cecilia the chocoholic, the always entertaining Tajel and Mike, who has been in grad school longer than most people can remember, who has started a family of his own.

The art is charming and well developed and it’s a treat to go through the archive and see the evolution in the visuals. The comics tend to follow the standard 3-4 panel model, with the occasional comic that doesn’t. Overall, the archive serves up an impressive amount of wit and all the little crazy aspects of grad school are pretty fleshed out.

As a bonus, it seems you can buy PHD in book form on Amazon, and the comic is being offered free to campus newspapers, there is a section the site with details. So if you like the comic, there are plenty of ways to support the creator, you can even buy a t-shirt.
