In a move that surprised no one and caused others to whoop with joy, the Marvelous Patric is thrilled to announce that his daily comic strip, Freaks N Squeeks, hits its 1000th strip today, Friday, June 8th, 2007.
"I'm just really proud," said Patric. "Really proud and excited. I never really though my little comic about mice would last this long."
FNS has had quite a history, first being published once a month, then twice a week, then every other day, then finally daily at Patric's website, http://www.marvelouspatric.com . Two years ago, the biggest change came when the entire archive was moved to Webcomicsnation's servers, where it remains to this day.
What's next for Patric and the mice?
"Well, I'm taking a little break," said Patric. "My new comic, Fun Factory, with Charles Clark, just launched at www.graphicsmash.com , so I'm going to focus on that for the rest of June. I'll also be at Heroes Con next weekend with the three floppy issues of FNS. Oh, and the biggest news is that the book publisher, Whitefish Press, is going to publish a giant 350 page (or so) edition of every Freaks N Squeeks comic ever. So yeah, things are busy."
No date has been set for the upcoming collection, but details will be coming soon, assured Patric. Freaks N Squeeks is set to return July 2nd, 2007.
This is only the first 1000," said Patric. "I'm going to keep going till I suck, and probably even a bit after that."
