Domain Hosting (OT)

I have a friend who is considering starting up a comic book convention and he wants me to manage the website. I have a Bravenet account, which is great for small sites I run, but I'm not sure about it for this. Reliability and ability to deal with (possible) heavy bandwidth are more a consideration than cost, but cost is also a factor. Can anyone recommend a hosting service?
