Well, that's hilarious! That's the first time I've had a character I drew tromp across a newspaper heading ... The Halifax Chronicle-Herald has asked me to do a Sunday comic strip for them, which started today. Originally they wanted something for the year, but due to the fact that I'm slightly swamped, I asked if they'd be willing to let me do it for 12 weeks instead (I hope I don't end up regretting that ... I hate turning down work). And I could do it about anything, which was pretty cool, so I did what Bill Watterson recommended in a forward for one of his C&H collections that I read about 15 years ago: that a comic strip about a little girl, written and drawn by a woman, would be a good idea. Here's an article about the whole thing, complete with the same dorky picture that ran when they did an article on Zombies Calling (hee).

I thought the comic strip would be running on the newspaper webpage as well, but I can't seem to find it, so I guess it's just in the Sunday paper for the moment. So if you're in the Halifax area, pick up a copy of the Sunday paper and read my newest artistic foray, Jenny's Brothers. (I actually wanted to call it Jenny Has Six Brothers, but apparently that was too long. Sniff!)

Oh, and I just thought the picture of the little old lady in the Canadians jersey going "yay!" was too funny, so I left it in.
