Marry Me

Chris Bobby Crosby's and Remy Mokhtar's Marry Me is almost done, climaxing with a not completely unexpected marriage proposal between the main characters.  This story of a pop star's snap marriage to someone in the audience is completely high concept but Crosby and Mokhtar made a really enjoyable comic out of it, filling out the two main characters pretty well.

Here's hoping Crosby does get a movie made out this story. Why not?  It's a good concept and would make a pretty damn funny romantic comedy.

UPDATE: Yes this is the same Bobby Crosby who seemingly exhibits tourettes-like symptoms everytime he posts on a message board.

Hmmm?  Did Bobby's response get deleted?  I can only imagine what he said, though I'm guessing it's no different from the comments sprinkled all over the internet.  I honestly can't tell if it's genuine childishness or some sort of act.

Yes - explanation above.

They were all about the level of the one I left up above.

Re: Marry Me

Bobby Crosby is a talented guy who simply loses control of himself when confronted with criticism or uncertainty about his work. I have the feeling that there are medication issues involved. Writing "fuck you" and "kill yourself" to comic fans (who might be children) is simply childish and unprofessional. Should somehow a movie deal is signed for "Marry Me" (which is nothing more than a poor man's "Notting Hill"), he'll destroy the deal with his temper and foul mouth.

Maybe he's David Crosby's illigitimate son?

You know I didn't think of the Notting Hill comparison before - yeah that is a pretty similar idea, although there's something even more high-concept-y about Marry Me's gimmick.

Kill yourself, you piece of shit.  Insane how unprofessional and childish you are -- madness.

Why Bobby Crosby's Comments Were Deleted and Is Banned

Xaviar Xerexes's picture

Bobby Crosby's 4 previous comments to this thread are all about equal in content to this one.  And yes I deleted them because they were all equally out of bounds.  The Internet is a big place and if people want to be jackasses there's all kinds of places to do that.  ComixTalk is not about that and if you can't act like a decent person interested in having a conversation with others here than you don't get to participate.  Bobby apparently feels like he can walk into a room, drop F-bombs at people and walk out.  Well no you can't do that in real life without consequences. ComixTalk has clear guidelines about civility and I warned him to knock it off.

And let's put this in perspective -- all of this tirade was triggered (I'm guessing but it's the only obvious reason) because the original version of the post identified the creator of Marry Me as "Chris Crosby".  Certainly a real mistake I corrected as soon as I was aware of it but hardly the end of the world.

I'm leaving this comment up as an example of how Bobby behaves but that's it for him on this site.   If anyone wants to talk to Bobby it's pretty easy to find him elsewhere online.

A note to Bobby Crosby  -

If you can't say something civil go post it somewhere else.  Sorry you keep trying to live up to your reputation, but you can't be uncivil here.

That should be BOBBY Crosby, not Chris Crosby.

Late night mistake.  Thanks for the correction Chris.

Are you positive though that you and Bobby are actually brothers?  There are times when he posts on websites that I wonder...
