(Dunno if we'll keep her racing name though)

She ran nine races in all, at the Valley Race Park in Harlingen, Texas. She only won once, and came in 8th most times. It wasn't a good enough record to keep racing, or to be a dam, so now she's a rescue.

And in one week, Serena's Siren will be our dog. And until I had met her, I hadn't really cared. A rescued greyhound was something the kids and wife really wanted. But now I can't wait for this week to be over, and to hear the click of her nails on our hardwood floors and watch my kids adore her and lavish her strong, wiry neck with hugs.

Pictures will follow, I'm sure.
