Welcome to Comixpedia, your destination for news, interviews, reviews and articles about webcomics. We have worked hard to put together not only a tremendous first issue for you, but an infrastructure and staff that will ensure we keep bringing you quality issues. Our mission, simply stated, is to bring to your attention the best and the brightest of webcomics and in the process, promote this new art-form. We welcome your comments on our site and our coverage.
A few thanks are in order. First to our crew of executive editors: Damonk, T, Leah and Bill. There’s still much to be done but an amazing amount has been put together in relatively short time. I’d also like to thank our contributors this month, including BoxJam, Iain Hamp, Justin, Kelly Cooper, Alan Knight, Chris Daily, Matt Trepal, Jim Zubkavich and Shaenon Garity. This issue has some great articles waiting for you.
And while I have you here, let me explain our “schedule.” We like to think of Comixpedia as primarily a monthly magazine: each month features new cover art and we will often focus on a particular theme or area of webcomics. We will post each month’s articles on a weekly basis, however, to give you and ourselves a chance to fully discuss the ideas and analysis put forth in each article. So each Monday morning look to see a new round of interviews, reviews and articles posted for the week. But that’s not all. Every single weekday we post news items covering anything of interest to webcomic creators and fans alike.
This site is geared to the reader: don’t hold back on us. Post comments to the articles; submit news to us; give us your useful links for webcomic-related sites.
The success of Comixpedia depends upon you.
