Writer's Block: Comedians as Journalists

Distrust of the media has grown to the point where many people only trust the news if it comes from a comedian. Who do you trust more: Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart?

And, people wonder why the world is going to hell and their children are subliterate.

I trust C-Span, Memory Hole and my own research. User-friendly and impartial journalism is an inherently impossible process since editing is necessary. Most everyone who claims to be a journalist is actually a commentator. Furthermore, a comedian is not an adequate substitute for hard news. Unless you have access to raw data or verification of source material, all media is suspect.
