When it comes to making a difference, some people donate money and others volunteer their time. What cause gets your time or money?

I like volunteering for the Cartoonist Conspiracy.

I mostly give to individuals whom I know, who need help and ask for it. Kiva looks tempting, as does Heifer. I like the idea of work-based charities.

MPP is big one for me. I don't think a profitable textile plant like hemp should be illegal. I've also seen too many cancer and AIDS patients being forced to commit crimes becase their doctor-prescribed medicine is illegal. That's just messed up.

Marine life conservation is a big issue for me as well.
