Comic Foundry has an interview with Tom Spurgeon on how to critique comics.

You should consider it a great thing if people are combative in response to something you're written; it's a really high compliment, similar to the compliment you paid to the art in question by choosing to write about it.

Most people tend to have warped ideas about reviews and critiques. It's nice to see someone capable of doing that with both feet on the ground.
