Fleen has the full story on this but the scoop is that Scott Adams Mike Belkin is holding an open call for a new artist for the syndicated comic strip Unfit and Dave Kellett made the final fifteen.

Dave Kellett asks that eager readers do NOT attempt to "stuff the ballots" or vote multiple times or anything like that. Please vote honestly, and vote ONCE and only if you think his art should genuinely win.
He also swears that should he win, it by no means signals the end of Sheldon. He would simply consider this another project on his plate.

I'm still bitter. I submitted an entry and didn't even make it to the 83 selected semi-finalists.
Bitter! BITTER!
And it was probably the tamest damned thing I'd ever drawn too.
Of course it wouldn't have mattered anyways since I wouldn't be able to accept the "job" even if I won it. But still... BITTER!
