We need ideas and input for the front page of Comixpedia.org. Right now we've got a feature called THIS WEEK (it used to be 48 Hours With but that was too ambitious an update schedule) which spotlights an Encyclopedia article on the front page each week.
1. I'd like to automate or otherwise increase the frequency of what's on the front page - there's a lot of webcomics and one a week isn't going to get us to most of them. If you're familar with wikimedia, wikipedia or otherwise technically inclined and want to help us improve administration of the front page there - reply here or email me.
2. GIVE US NOMINATIONS FOR WHAT TO PUT ON THIS WEEK
There has to be an actual decent article for it in the Encyclopedia for you to nominate it for THIS WEEK and the front page - if so then post a reply here with your nomination.
I don't know for sure. I clean up when I have the time. But right now, I have homework to do and programming task to complete. (I am a computer programmer first than a webcomic fanboy)
And I am a newbie to programming too. Just thought I mention that.

Hey me too! What are you learning? I learned php and mysql this year in hacking on postnuke for Comixpedia. And when I say learned what I mean is "barely understand what I'm doing" :)
I am programming in C. Once I become proefficent in that, I am going to learn python.
My challenge is learning how to use array and loop right now. I am lucky to have a mentor who have more than two decade experiences in programming.

Now that's real stuff - php is probably a cakewalk next to C stuff.
I don't know the difficulty of learning C, but I am progressing slowly.
I don't want to write web application.. I want to do more than that so I choose C. On the other hand, all my friend were using C so I thought I do too.

Today you're using C because your friends tell you it's cool, next thing you know you're hooked on "Class A" programming languages like Java and .NET.

.NET sucks ass because it from M$ company.
Next thing I know, I will be programming a game in python months down the row.
C is damned powerful and fast. But I will use python for a simple game to speed up the development. It my plan and nobody tell me that C is cool or pressure me to use it.
Eh, I changed the One Week With thing. I usually change it on Saturdays, in case anyone's wondering. Currently it's with [[CRFH!!!]], but I like to highlight obscure comics with great articles as well. Suggestions are always appreciated!
There needs to be a way so one person is not relied upon to be the one to always change it
Well..You want me to update? I am pretty unreliable on weekdays.
We could however....make a script for automically posting new article. So it change back to 48 hours.

Oh, I forgot. I messed up with the main page the other day. End screwing it, so I have to replace it. I was trying to move the main page to a new page so it doesn't inflate the article count. Right now, we have two copies. One of them is old, and another is old. We have some comixpedia.org stuff that should be moved to the project namespace.

I was going to change the namespace b/c the "[[" around comixpedia were causing problems - maybe wait to clean up until I do that?
I wasn't going to change the namespace tonight in case it caused a lot of chaos to clean up though. Will it?
