Stub Articles? How to Improve?

Stub articles aren't very useful. Ideas for improving stubs?

One suggestion was:

Quote:
There are to many stubs on this site. We've got to clean them up by urging people to add to them. Is some sort of mass "stub cleanup" campaign is possible? Perhaps visiting the sites that are linked to in stubs and emailing the comic's author a form letter of some sort saying something like this:

An article has been created about your comic at Comixpedia.org! However, it is very short and lacks much information. If you could either add to it, or encourage your readers to add to it, it would be appreciated. [[Link to article]]

Not sure what the ettiquette issues would be - we certainly don't want to spam people but I could conceivable post reminders here at Comixpedia.com - maybe a top ten most wanted of stubs list?

Other ideas?

I am afraid there are not much to do about them other than reading it and writing it.

Yep, we could make a template that display the stub to be fixed and put it on every newbies that come through here in the hope that newbies recongize one of them they want to work on.

On the other hand, I create too many stub on webcomics. This is because I didn't read the comic, or the comic doesn't offer information aside from reading the strips itself.

Destubification

In the past, I have suggested a comixpedia collaboration of the week a-la other wikis. The collaboration could be one comic or a larger group.

Edit: darn, I didn't notice that it was already a topic.
