Hosting

We've recently been looking into changing our hosting and have been talking to a couple of companies locally i.e. Irish based hosters. At the moment we're just about managing to keep our bandwidth under 10gb but we'd obviously like to have room to increase it - which under our current plan we don't. Now we'd prefer to stick with an Irish company for a number of reasons including customer service and a desire to retain an Irish based IP. However, any one whose ever done business in Ireland will tell you, it's bloody hard work. What I'm curious about is what anyone with relatively high traffic to their webcomic/site does about their hosting. I've noticed Dreamhost offering a terrabyte of traffic per month but a number of hosts here say that it would only be possible if their was no one else on the same box as you and only your site was getting the traffic. Has anyone any experience of Dreamhost, or anyone else, and what sort of traffic are you getting? I'm not interested in free hosts and we're not really ready for a dedicated server. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I have been using dream host. $7.95/mo. for 20 gigs, 1 tb bandwith, e-mail adresses, and great customer support. If you want to sign up, click here.

If you go back later, please tell them that captain_flannel sent you.
