Nope - feel free to hype away on the hype forum. We can't post everything we get on the front page so the hype forum is another place to post updates about your projects.
Well, I got a Private Message about this strip a while ago, and I thought "spammer" so I deleted it. It's what happens when I get stuff like that from people I don't know.
I was going to reply to this via e-mail, but I really don't think it will help you.
My personal belief on art/comic critiques is that if you're going to ask for opinions on a public forum, they should be public. Otherwise it's rather inconvenient, and there is no discussion.
You won't learn if you don't have discussion. Sure, one person may critique your stuff, but they may be wrong also. An open discussion not only critiques the strips, but the reviewers as well. Sort of like a second or third doctor's opinion, it helps immensely.
Will it hurt your ego? Damn straight it will. But you gotta expect that kind of stuff when you're placing your work in a public forum. That's part of the game, and it gives you not only a thick skin, but a new viewpoint to take on your work. The art of discussion is essential for comic strips.
I agree. It also helps others because the critique may be something that is relevant to their work, too.

It's a win-win situation.
And if you decide not to, well, that's your decision. However, if you can't put up with constructive criticism and the occasional troll, then you may not be ready to push your strips to the public yet.
It's not bad, from the strip that I read. Hate scrolling to see the entire strip, though.

Actually, I thought that was only for reprinting the newsworthy articles...such as the ones currently listed there (which is rather redundant, BTW). At least that's the impression I got from the chat board summation.
